Living in a township is not easy – not for dogs and cats and not for humans. But living in a township doesn’t mean, people care or love their dogs and cats less – most of the time (but of course not always, but that’s a different story) animals suffer due to the lack of finances, not because of the lack of love.
But if everyone steps up, from the owner of a dog or cat asking for help, to people who can share a dog house, a blanket, food and donations, the world definitely becomes a better place.
Vicky is such an example. She was hit by a car and the fantastic Feed a Paw Project, Madelaine Strydom, took her to the vet clinic to help Vicky and her family. The next day at the clinic Vicky had her castration operation via Have a Heart. Her owner wouldn’t be able to afford this operation, but thanks to everyone who donates towards Have a Heart, Vicky is now spayed, vaccinated and treated against parasites and her owner will not have to look after 10 – 12 puppies every year…
But that’s not all. Have a look at Cat Adams – Act of Kindness, they are currently handing out dogs houses with blankets and food, donated by fantastic people for the dogs and cats in need. Vicky also received a new house!
And to show you how things can be moved when everyone works together, supports, donates…. In case anyone is concerned about Vicky’s well being, Tierschutzverein Swakopmund (SPCA) would do check ups on her, help the owner with education, offer a hospital room in case Vicky would have needed to rest because of the injury…
Let’s all work together and support Have a Heart, Feed a Paw Project, Cat Adams – Act of Kindness and Tierschutzverein Swakopmund (SPCA) to support caring dog and cat owners who’s only lack is finances, but not love!
