Wow!
Two really fantastic spay days took place in Luderitz beginning of April!
Not only 39 dogs and cats from Luderitz are now very welcome new members of the ever growing Have a Heart family, also a fantastic 92(!) old customers came for their anti parasite treatment and – if needed – follow up vaccination!!
This is really fantastic!
A beyond big THANK YOU goes to Dr. Baines and his team from the Mobile Animal Clinic – Namibia! Not only for all what you have done during the two really busy days, but also for now 5 years of constant, much needed and fantastic work in Luderitz, and never giving up on this special town “at the End of the world”! THANK YOU!!
Another big THANK YOU goes to Lüderitz Town Council for ALWAYS – from day 1 – being supportive towards the work Have a Heart does in Luderitz. From organising transport for the animals and their owners, over advertising the days, to funding a full spay day, LTC, you rock!
We will post more details about this later, as Luderitz Town Council is really doing fantastic work!
Thank you so much to Animal-Kind International for making it possible for us to keep up with the so important vaccination and anti parasite treatment! Luderitz – as all coastal towns in Namibia – had lots of dogs with mange. Mange bugs seams to like the climate. Without the ongoing treatment dogs would suffer. By making it possible for us to treat our old customers regularly against parasites, Animal-Kind International is definitely saving lives!
And not to forget of course: THANK YOU to everyone who supports the spay days in Luderitz with a donation, to everyone who volunteers and to all the caring dog and cat owners in Luderitz!
We often get feedback how amazing it is, to see so many good looking and healthy dogs in Luderitz. This clearly shows, ongoing spay/neuter, combined with vaccination and anti parasite treatment, works! But nothing would be possible, if not so many people would come together! Thank you to every single one!
