Have-a-Heart Namibia
As 2021 comes to an end, we can all agree it has been another difficult year. Despite this, our supporters, volunteers, vets and caring owners have carried on with our mission to sterilise dogs and cats from low/no income communities as a way to humanely reduce stray animal populations across the country. Thanks to everyone coming together, this year we were able to sterilise over 2,500 dogs and cats across all corners of Namibia. This is unbelievable! A massive thank you to everyone working towards Have-a-Heart's mission - these results would not be achieved without you!!#lovenamibiasdogsandcats #haveaheartnamibia #namibia #support #spayed #catsofnamibia #fortheloveofcats #fortheloveofdogs #spayneuteryourpets ...

Have-a-Heart Namibia
The year is drawing to a close, but the Have-a-Heart family is still busy growing! Yet more cats received their sterilisation in Rehoboth thanks to the team at AANWO Vet. A beautiful cat was also sterilised in Tsumeb by the awesome Dr Erika and her team at Tsumeb Veterinary Clinic. We were also able to help beautiful dog Brownie, who had suspected kennel cough, which is now being treated and once he is better, he will receive his all-important neuter and vaccination. Also lots has been happening in Walvis Bay with Have-a-Heart Walvis Bay since their THREE spay days at the end of October during which 78 animals were sterilised (one of these days was sponsored by Municipality of Walvis Bay - thank you). The team in Walvis also helped a momma cat and her four kittens - the kittens are ready to be rehomed, but the mother is feral and afraid of people - therefore she will be spayed as a trap-neuter-return cat and will then be free from ever having to struggle to raise kittens again. As always none of our work would be possible to everyone supporting us, this includes every person spreading the word about the importance of sterilisation, those donating, the volunteers working in towns across the country and all the vets, vet nurses and animal care assistants helping the individual animals. Thank you to all and have a very merry Christmas 🎅 ...

Have-a-Heart Namibia
This sweet little dog was found living in the bush with no one to look after her. Luckily Dr Erika and the team at Tsumeb Veterinary Clinic were able to welcome her into the Have-a-Heart family with a spay and vaccinations. She then got herself adopted into a loving family. We wish this new family all the best of luck. ...

Have-a-Heart Namibia
This super cute girl is Blackie from Rehoboth, she is one of our very first customers, she was spayed in 2013 when Have a Heart just started! Can you believe it, since Blackie was spayed, Have a Heart was able to help another 13,000 dogs and cats with spay/neuter, vaccination and parasite treatments!!! Wow!! Blackie's elderly owner noticed Blackie's nose was bleeding so she went to AANWO vet clinic and asked for help. Blackie was diagnosed with tick bite fever 🙁 but she got her injections and a bag full of pills and is doing much better now! <3 Blackie, we are so in love with you and are very happy for you and your family that you feel better! <3 #neuter #spay #rehoboth #haveaheartnamibia #namibia #fortheloveofdogs ...

Vittoria Roatti
Hello, I work for a baboon research project at Tsaobis Nature Park (on the C32 from Karibib). There are 9 cats here that I've been feeding for 8 months and made them all sterilized. However, I am leaving mid December going back to Europe and I will come back only next year in April. I am leaving a lot of food (about 50 kg) for them and the staff at the lodge normally feeds them (if food is provided), but it would be nice if someone could check on them (check that they still have food and that the staff gives it). These cats hunt a bit but there wouldn't be enough preys for all of them if they only had to rely on that. I know that the place is a bit out of the way for most people, but it would be enough to check on them once per month. Please help if you can!Vittoria - Tsaobis Baboon Project ...
